Namtan Mai Ep 9 Runthrough

I missed the first 30mins or so.

Sitting under a tree, Bo recalls everything between Pe and her, their sweet times, the airport scene. Bo cries. Suddenly her  stomach starts hurting. (guess she’s giving birth soon)

On the other hand, Pe and Nian are having their wedding (I have no idea whether it’s still the engagement or now they’re wedded ‘cos as i said, i missed the first part). They are being blessed in the water ceremony and Nian is acting angelic of course. To sum it off, Aunt Pa gives a long teary speech and then Dad Sathorn(?).

P’Tik got a call that Bo’s given birth while Tao is present. Rushes to see Bo at the hospital. YES! Baby Booghie is born! Though we haven’t seen him. Tao comes to visit Bo with Tik. Bo doesn’t want to see/speak to him, guy goes off with P’Tik, upset.

Argh! The streaming jams on me the scene with the baby. Still haven’t seen him! Anyway, P’Tik and Tao go to see the baby. Tao takes photo of the baby with his phone. What for? We’ll see. Tao looks a changed person. Probably after seeing all the as*****ness of Ae.

Pe/Nian’s wedding night. Pe gets a message. From the subbed preview, it shows the baby’s picture. Apologies, due to the streaming jam, wasn’t able to tell Pe’s reaction.

P’Tae comes to see the baby and has a talk with Tao. Sorry, I don’t understand what they said. Does P’Tae already know Tao’s not daddy or not? We will have to patiently await wishbone’s subs for this. Apparently P’Tae has no idea Tao’s not daddy.

Ae tries to get back to the condo (is it the one with Tao?) and couldn’t. Key changed! Serves him right!

Tao goes to talk to Bo. Apparently from the previews, Tao says he will give Bo a divorce.

Absolutely dashing in a tuxedo, Pe looks at Nian doing makeup and has an illusion of her being Bo. For an instant he looked so happy again. But no, it’s Nian and he lost that smile.

Bo goes to see her baby for the first time. Looking at him sleeping sweetly in the cot, she tears up.

Tao decides to call Pe to tell him that he’s become a father. Unfortunately Pe left the phone in the preparation room for the groom and bride. Nian’s bridesmaid picked it up and Tao gets to know that Pe’s getting married. Tik and Tao are both shocked. Tik decides to not let Pe know about it.

Pe and Nian are going on a honeymoon. Nian’s being all sarcastic and sharp-tongued (showing her true side). Pe and Nian are always arguing over something. Pe’s phone rang, he picked it up and was told that Tao tried to look for him. Nian finds it suspicious. Pe wanted to take a second look of the photo of baby but before Pe sees it, Nian snatches it and deleted the photo.

Bo’s parents visit their grandchild at the hospital and reprimanded Bo for not telling them about it. They still thought the baby’s Tao’s.

Nian is all self-centred and neglecting/igoring Pe’s feelings on their honeymoon shopping.

Bo and Tao went to get a divorce at the lawyer’s. Coming out of the office, Bo asks Tao how he’s going to explain it to his mother. Tao tells Bo to treat him as a brother. they hug.

More of Nian/Pe shopping. Or rather Pe’s her servant helping her carry stuff.

Bo goes back to her parents’ and told them about the divorce. (She’s looking gorgeous!) They have a talk about the baby and the future.

More of Pe/Nian unhappy honeymoon. Nian complaining about what a bore it is.

Tao kisses Tik goodbye and Tik goes off to work. Tik forgot his car keys. Ae comes back and beat Tao up in fury. Ae stole car keys, Tao tries to stop him to no avail. Tik stops Tao from chasing after Ae.

Ae reaches the carpark and tries to steal the car but was stopped by the carpark guy saying something about the car being Tao’s. Ae has no choice but to hand over the keys go find Tao back at the apartment. Ae bangs on the door shouting for Tao but was stopped by the security.

Yet more of Pe/Nian honeymoon fight. Pe is angry, tells Nian that she’s no longer the girl he wanted to marry (Pe! This is the real her!) and walked away. Nian was shocked then faked a vomitting reaction when he walks away. Pe comes back to see Nian. I think she’s gonna fake a pregnancy.

Back at home (did they return or are they still in HK? Why is Aunt Pa there then?), Pa tucks Nian into bed and shows concern for her. Nian is cold when Pe shows concern. Aunt Pa pulls him out and gives hima a speech give in to Nian more or something.

Bo goes for a job interview. The potential boss looks satisfied with the work samples she’s brought. Bo sees an ex-colleage from Pawan’s company. (Yes, Bo’s happy again.)

Nian calls Pe while he’s driving. Pe’s all frustrated and irritated while Nian continues to be all bratty and overbearing. She starts shouting at Pe over something she doesn’t like (I think for him leaving the house while she’s ill?) Pe hangs up on her.

Nian gets all ‘sad’ and tells Pa that Pe’s still thinking about Bo (yes it’s true so just get lost won’t you?) Pa comforts her and promises to have a talk with Pe.

Pe is bored and irritated and drives around to Bo’s parents’ house. He sees Bo inside with the baby. Bo sees him and quickly brings the baby inside. Bo tells her parents Pe is outside and that she doesn’t want to see him.

Pe rings the bell, wanting to see Bo. Bo’s parents came out to block. Pe asked for Bo, and asked if the baby’s a boy or girl. Parents told him he’s a boy. Pe’s about to leave but hears the baby crying. (I wonder what the parents told him. Bo’s out?)

Preview:
Pe/Nian’s fight grew more furious. Pe told Nian something like yes he still think of Bo/went to see Bo. Nian hurled something at him and Pe was furious. Pe’s sleeping with Wi. (Oh my, now I’m gonna hate him alllll the mooooreee! No way is he going to earn my respect anymore.)

Namtan Mai Ep 5-6 Review

For those who know, I don’t understand thai. So I’ve been watching without any idea of what they’re saying, besides catching a word here and there.

Anyway, I found yesterday’s episode a little boring. The pace a little too slow. Only bits of pra’nangs are probably that Bo got pregnant and Pe got drunk. Aum looked real cute and innocent and upset like a boy leaning on his stepmum’s shoulder. I really want to hug him and say it’s alright… so sad. Will go watch wishbone’s subbed episode later and probably gain more sense on other parts eg Tao/Bo, Nian/Dad, Ae/Tao etc.

Ep 6 so far so good. I found the front part a little boring. Love the intensity and everything from the moment they met in Khun Ying’s house and everything from then on, Pe announcing Nian as his gf out of jealousy, Bo’s jealousy, the party, the choice between Nian and Bo, the confrontation in the carpark, before irritating Nian disturbs them. Ugg… By the way, Nian told everyone Bo’s pregnant.

I especially love the part where Pe on purpose or not released the red balloon before Nian can receive it. I love the intensity with which Pe and Bo look at each other. I love how he confronted her in the carpark. And I’m starting to love Jaeng-La. Starting I found him a playboy, falling for every pretty girl. Today I loved it when he purposely tricked Nian to think that he’s giving her the balloon then pass it to Bo when Nian holds out her hand. Probably to just hang Nian on a thread. Lol isn’t that just embarrassing? From the clips in Ratree Samosorn yesterday, I’m assuming he’ll be Bo’s guardian angel? Ok, now he’s cute to me haha.

I’m loving Aff’s character as Bo and her acting today.
My beloved Aff’s acting is just GREAT today. Love how she portrays upset and disappointment. Adequate, can feel for her, yet not too much, too superficial or exaggerated. Love it. Love how Bo shows her irk towards Nian. You can see she knows that girl’s not all that nice and the teeny bit of jealousy and obvious dislike she has for that fake girl. Cool.

Sad again. Bo resigned. She’s leaving the country, to Hawaii according to what I heard on sarnworld. Nian pretended to be all nice, asking why etc etc. Pe’s secretary called him that Bo resigned, he rushed to her house and her mum says she’s leaving. He rushes to the airport, found her checking in (how lucky, as always. and Wow…she’s taking 1st class. I forgot she’s married to a rich family lol.). Asked her to stay (?), pulled her into his arms and hug. Oh my, that was an emotional scene. Both cried (at least I can see Bo is. The streaming’s a little too blur.) But Bo still left, Pe’s helpless and sad.

And then the streaming died on me. So nice lol.
Great. When I managed to stream it again, I missed the previews!!!!

Now that I’m watching the subbed version I want to apologize and say I’m wrong. It was boring for me ‘cos I missed the first 30mins being out for dinner. And that’s when the intense pranang parts were (:

Namtan Mai Ep 1-4 Review

Have you been tuning in to Namtan Mai (Burnt Sugar) by Umm and Aff? So far so good at least for me though I don’t like how Channel 3 dramas have to develop every side story. This, there’s Ae and Tao, Nian and her Po, and in ep 1 & 2, show ALL those scenes about Nian (Ploy) and her boyfriends. It gets a little draggy, what with Jaeng-La and Nian, Ae (Boy Chakchai) and Tao(Tah)’s scenes all over the place and of course the sickeningly sweet scenes of Nian and her dad. I envy Nian’s relationship with her dad but it’s a little too much to show it all the time, yes we get how close they are, thank you very much. Spare us from them.

I got to say I love how Boy made Ae so so so irritating that I want to stab his face. Seriously I got to give Boy thumbs up for his variation of expressions which makes you want to strangle him. Haha just SO rai.

And the music’s terrible. Wrong background music at the right emotional instant can dry up my tears. Some scenes when it should have been so emotional, instead of emotional and sweet music there’s the saxophone sounding like when nang’rai is sleeping with her man. Sounds a little cheap, eg in ep3 during the bed scene. Threw me off my emotions a little. I’m not saying saxophone’s not emotional and such but…well maybe just not this piece.

Nevertheless, I love how the drama started out with no scenes of childhood, no slow development of how Bo/Thuma (Aff) got married, nothing of how she returned and entered the company and knew Pe/Pawan (Umm). It went right to the point such that I doubted I missed something when I watched the online streaming. Though there’re too many flashbacks in ep2 that went a bit draggy, it’s fine. Much better than 3 entire episodes of childhood (:

Love Aff but she still has something to learn. Eg when she’s playing shy, sometimes the shyness is played too superficially. Should have been played more inner-wise in my opinion but it’s just my personal preference afterall.

The pace of the drama is great too. Ep 5 Bo’s already leaving for Hawaii with Tik (I love P’Tik in this show! The actor’s named Petch isit? I’m not too sure?). Awww… though I still wish they’d give more sweet scenes of pranang rather than all the random and too much gay + rai&dad + rai&man etc etc. Not to my liking. But it’s fast at least and got me waiting for the next eps as they come.

Overall I’m loving it so far. Usually after I read Lyn’s caps I won’t bother to wait for the subs to watch the full video run, eg for Wong Wien Hua Jai. For this, I’m waiting for wishboniko to sub and watch almost full-run (skipped some of ploy, ae, tah, dad’s parts) because I want to know exactly what they said and see the expression and the tone of the actors in the scenes.

Just wish it’d continue to be good or even better so I’ll hang on till the end like how I haven’t been able to for any drama for quite  a while now. ((:

Fai Ruk Arsoon airred yesterday

I haven’t been keeping to date ‘cos of my exams and before I knew, Fai Ruk Arsoon (Love Fire of the Beast) airred yesteday. It’ll be broadcasted every Fri-Sun, 2030-2200 Thailand time, Channel 3.

Anyway, wishboniko will be subbing this I think and here are just 2 teasers:

Vicky’s acting as twins in here. Wan the elder sister and think the younger is named Tuangporn. Wan’s the original wife of Kaew (Boy), Tuangporn’s the sweet twin and Ace’s the bad guy. I wish Ace can get a lead role sometime. Love him and his acting but he’s like almost always villian especially this year, such as in Prajan See Roong.

I’m watching it now and so far so good except that I can’t understand what they’re saying most of the time. But I got to say Boy look hideaous and disgusting in makeup and bright red lipstick and singing. LOL. Vicky is hillarious as Wan and as much as it’s to be sadistic it’s still comedious now.

I guess my computer is hopeless and completely dead now. It’s a great great great pity since I’m having a 1 month school holiday now but I can’t sub anything. oh well…
